Sprigs

Sprigs

Sprigging BRF Zoysiagrass varieties is an excellent option because this method offers flexibility across a wide range of applications.

Bladerunner Farms and our grower network have successfully implemented sprigged Zoysiagrass on multiple projects across the globe. While establishment time can be slightly longer than sod, the long-term return is significant.

As our founder David Doguet often says,
“What’s an extra month if you end up with 20 years of a quality playing surface.”

Golf courses and sports fields are the best candidates for sprigging.

Transporting sprigs

Boxing

Boxed sprigs are an ideal shipping option for international projects, with sprigs packed in plastic-lined boxes to protect moisture and quality during transit.

Bulk Sprigs

Bulk sprigs are loaded loose directly into trucks for efficient transport to the job site

Bags

Bagged Sprigs are a good shipping option for projects in the USA. Bags help with the ease of handling the sprigs between shipment and installation.

Washed sprigs

Washed sprigs are used when less soil is preffered. Bladerunner uses this method most often for shipping Internationally and Golf Course Greens.
